How-To Guide: Set Up Fireflies as Your AI Meeting Assistant
Step 1: Create Your Fireflies Account
- Go to {{tool:Fireflies.url}} and click Get Started for Free
- Sign up with your work Google or Microsoft account (this is the fastest option — it pre-connects your calendar)
- Choose your role when prompted: Project Manager
- You'll land on the Fireflies dashboard — a clean interface showing upcoming meetings pulled from your calendar
What you should see: A list of your upcoming calendar meetings on the left side. Each one has a toggle to "Add Fred" (Fireflies' bot is named Fred) to that meeting.
Troubleshooting: If your calendar isn't showing meetings, go to Settings → Integrations → Calendar and authorize Fireflies to read your calendar. It needs read access to send the bot to the right meetings.
